The Season Green

Once hardened by frost
Now fertile and soft
Perfect for what will come next
First slowly as if just waking from rest

Brown going green
Lively and clean
Colors blue, red, and yellow
Pushing up alongside their fellows
Intoxicating smells define
That it is now their time
To rise and shine

A complete renewal
Of life’s circle
Even the color of the sky
Seems to brighten around this time
Spring has arrived
Nothing seems more divine
